We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Bench Joiner to join our team, working from our specialist workshop and contributing directly to the creation of luxury, bespoke joinery for our fit out projects.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be a vital part of our production team, focusing on the manufacture and assembly of high specification interior elements:
- Bespoke Fabrication: Manufacture a diverse range of high quality, bespoke interior joinery items, including:
- Custom bars and reception counters.
- Architectural wall panelling, specialist cladding, and feature ceilings.
- Bespoke cabinetry, seating, and furniture components for commercial environments.
- Precision Work: Accurately interpret and work from detailed technical drawings, cutting lists, and design specifications provided by our project managers and designers.
- Machinery Operation: Safely and efficiently set up and operate various workshop machinery (e.g., spindle moulders, dimension saws, planers, thicknessers) and hand tools.
- Material Selection: Select, prepare, and work with a range of materials, including hardwoods, softwoods, veneers, laminates, and composite materials.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all manufactured items meet stringent quality control standards and are finished to the highest standard for seamless installation on site.
- Workshop Standards: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven, solid experience as a Bench Joiner, preferably within the bespoke joinery or interior fit-out industry.
- Demonstrable ability to produce high-quality, fine-tolerance, and complex joinery components.
- Proficiency in reading, understanding, and translating technical/CAD drawings into finished products.
- Expert knowledge of various timbers, materials, and traditional and modern joinery techniques.
- High level of attention to detail and a passion for achieving exceptional finishes.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of our workshop team.
Working Hours
- Standard Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
- Overtime: Occasional overtime will be required, based on project demands, and will be compensated accordingly.
