Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Delivery/Rubbish Collection Engineer to join our team. This role involves the safe and efficient collection and disposal of waste materials, as well as the delivery of equipment and supplies to various sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience in maintenance and repair, and the ability to operate and troubleshoot various equipment. Responsibilities
- Operate waste collection vehicle and deliveries in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Collect rubbish from designated locations, ensuring proper handling and disposal procedures are followed
- Deliver equipment, parts, or supplies to specified sites, maintaining timely schedules
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals; perform basic repairs when necessary
- Assist with equipment repair and maintenance tasks, including air conditioning units or other machinery as required
- Follow safety protocols during all operations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain accurate records of collections, deliveries, and vehicle inspections
Experience
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance or repair work, preferably within construction or facilities management
- Knowledge of schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting purposes
- Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise team members during operations
- Construction experience is desirable, providing a solid understanding of site safety and operational procedures
