Overview
We are seeking a professional and courteous Night Porter/Receptionist to join our Reception team. This role involves providing exceptional guest services during overnight shifts, ensuring the safety and comfort of all visitors. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a welcoming demeanour, and experience in hospitality settings.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
- Handle guest enquiries efficiently via phone, email, and in person, maintaining excellent phone etiquette
- Manage reservations, cancellations, and room allocations accurately using the booking system
- Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience
- Monitor security cameras and conduct regular patrols of the premises during night hours to ensure safety
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or disturbances, following established protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception area throughout the shift
- Record all guest interactions and incidents accurately in accordance with hotel policies
Experience
- Previous experience in hotel reception or hospitality is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent guest service with a friendly and professional attitude
- Knowledge of hotel management software systems is beneficial but not mandatory
- Experience in handling guest complaints or resolving issues diplomatically is desirable
This role requires a dedicated individual who can work independently during overnight hours while maintaining high standards of service. The successful candidate will be organised, attentive to detail, and committed to creating a welcoming environment for all guests. No sponsership available.
Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
