Sous Chef – Full Time/Part time (30 - 40 hours per week)
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone passionate about fresh food, strong kitchen standards, and working as part of a fast-paced professional team.
The successful candidate will support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping to maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, organisation, and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes
- Supporting daily kitchen operations
- Maintaining food hygiene and safety standards
- Assisting with stock control and ordering
- Working closely with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service, particularly in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Helping with menu preparation and kitchen organisation
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety
- Passion for quality food and teamwork
