Experienced Groundworker / Driver - Arboriculture

Pay: £120.00 – £150.00 per day depending on experience

About Us
GraftinGardeners Ltd is a well-established, family-run company founded in 2009. We now run 7 full-time tree teams, along with landscaping and gardening crews. We're looking for experienced and reliable groundworkers to join our team.
About the Role
We're looking for someone with experience working as an arboriculture groundworker, supporting a tree surgeon and working as part of a team on site. This is a groundworker role - you will not be climbing or carrying out tree surgery work yourself.
You'll be working on a wide range of tree surgery jobs across North, South, East and West London, as well as Surrey.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist tree surgeons/climbers with ground-based support
- Lead small teams on site (if experienced)
- Ensure site safety and follow procedures at all times
- Represent the company in a professional and polite manner
- Use tools such as saws, hedge trimmers, and pruning equipment (if experienced and qualified)
- Carry out physically demanding manual work outdoors in all weather
Requirements
- Full manual UK driving licence, held for a minimum of 2 years (automatic-only licences not accepted)
- The right to work in the UK
- Valid CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one)
- PPE preferred (but not essential)
- Previous experience in tree work
- Able to reliably to get to our Leatherhead yard by 6:30am
Desirable (but not essential) Qualifications
- First Aid at Work (+F)
- Woodchipper or stump grinder certification
- Chainsaw tickets
- Chapter 8 (signing, lighting & guarding)
- Aerial Rescue
