Founding Food-to-Go Supervisor
Location: Kirkintilloch, Glasgow
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £14.00–£15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Help us build something special from day one.
We're launching an exciting new Food-to-Go concept alongside our successful, family-owned convenience store, and we're looking for our very first Food-to-Go Supervisor.
This isn't simply a job in an existing café or bakery. It's an opportunity to join a brand-new business from the very beginning and play an important role in helping shape how it develops.
We're looking for someone with genuine Food-to-Go experience who enjoys bringing ideas forward, influencing how things are done and helping create a business that customers will love.
Perhaps you've worked somewhere before and found yourself thinking:
"If only management would listen, I'd have some great ideas."
Or maybe you've spotted opportunities to improve products, reduce waste, streamline systems or create a better customer experience, but never had the opportunity to put those ideas into practice.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
About Us
Our convenience store has built a strong reputation for quality, customer service and continual improvement. We're now investing in an exciting Food-to-Go concept that will offer fresh coffee, breakfast, lunch and grab-and-go food throughout the day.
We're not looking for someone to simply fill a position. We're looking for someone who wants to help us establish a reputation as one of the best independent Food-to-Go businesses in the area.
Your Role
Working directly alongside the business owner, you'll help launch and develop the business by:
- Preparing and serving fresh food and hot drinks to an exceptional standard.
- Helping develop our product range and suggesting new ideas.
- Advising on which products sell well and identifying opportunities to improve sales.
- Assisting with ordering, stock control and supplier management.
- Helping minimise waste through effective production planning.
- Maintaining outstanding food hygiene, cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Helping create practical operating procedures and daily routines.
- Supporting food safety, allergen management and Environmental Health compliance.
- Training and supporting future team members as the business grows.
- Delivering outstanding customer service on every shift.
About You
You'll ideally have experience in a Food-to-Go business, bakery, café, deli or other fast-paced food retail environment.
More importantly, you'll be someone who:
- Loves working with fresh food and takes pride in quality.
- Understands the importance of food safety and allergen management.
- Is organised, reliable and pays attention to detail.
- Enjoys suggesting improvements and finding better ways of doing things.
- Understands that reducing waste is just as important as increasing sales.
- Takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
- Wants to play an important role in helping a new business succeed.
- Enjoys being part of a team where ideas and experience are genuinely valued.
Food Hygiene qualifications would be an advantage but are not essential if you have relevant practical experience.

- Work directly with a business owner who genuinely welcomes ideas, values experience and believes the best improvements often come from the people doing the job every day.
- Ongoing training and development.
- Genuine opportunities to progress as the business grows.
Please note: We are looking for applicants with previous Food-to-Go, bakery, café or quick-service food experience. Applications without relevant experience are unlikely to be shortlisted.
