Day Telephonist / Customer Service Agent
EVO Taxi – Professional Taxi Company Based in Haywards Heath
EVO Taxi, a well-established and professional taxi company based in Haywards Heath, is looking for a reliable and organised Day Telephonist / Customer Service Agent to join our growing team. This role involves handling customer calls, booking reservations, and providing excellent customer service face-to-face during daytime operations.
Full training will be provided at our Crawley office for approximately one month before working independently.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday
07:00 – 18:00
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls professionally and assist customers with booking enquiries.
- Take and manage taxi bookings accurately via phone and email.
- Provide fare quotes, estimated arrival times, and journey information.
- Maintain clear communication with drivers regarding bookings and customer updates.
- Monitor booking emails and respond promptly to customer requests.
- Ensure all customer information is entered correctly into the dispatch system.
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve enquiries calmly and efficiently.
- Assist with general office and administrative duties during shifts.
- Support the operations team with day-to-day booking coordination.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a UK taxi, private hire, transport, or customer service environment is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident using computer booking and dispatch systems.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
- Must be able to commute reliably or live within 30 minutes of Haywards Heath.
