Part-Time CDP / Kitchen Porter
We’re looking for a Part-Time CDP/Kitchen Porter to join the kitchen team at Moody’s Hagley.
This is a 15-20 hour per week role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy kitchen, takes pride in maintaining high standards and is happy to get stuck in wherever needed.
The role
You’ll work across both food preparation/CDP duties and kitchen porter responsibilities, helping the kitchen run smoothly throughout service.
CDP and prep duties include:
- Food preparation and supporting the kitchen team
- Assisting with busy service and keeping up with the pace of the kitchen
- Working as a CDP during services when required
- Supporting chefs with prep, service and general kitchen tasks
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and allergen control
Kitchen Porter duties include:
- Keeping up with a busy service and ensuring clean equipment, pans, plates and utensils are continuously available to the kitchen team
- Running an efficient and organised pot wash station throughout service
- Keeping the pot wash area clean, tidy and hygienic at all times
- Ensuring the kitchen is maintained to EHO standards
- Completing thorough daily cleaning of kitchen equipment, surfaces, floors and other areas
- Carrying out regular deep-cleaning tasks to maintain consistently high hygiene standards
- Correctly using cleaning products and following kitchen cleaning procedures
- Keeping bins, floors, drains and other high-use areas clean and maintained
- Supporting the wider kitchen team with closing and cleaning duties
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Has previous kitchen experience
- Is confident with basic food preparation
- Can work efficiently and calmly during a busy service
- Takes real pride in cleanliness and organisation
- Understands the importance of maintaining EHO-level hygiene standards
- Is reliable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in
- Can comfortably switch between CDP, prep and KP duties
- Works well as part of a small team
- Has a good eye for detail and doesn't need to be asked to clean or maintain standards
Hours: 15-20 hours per week
Availability: Tuesday-Sunday, with flexibility to work any hours of the day depending on the rota (published at least 2 weeks in advance)
Experience as a CDP is preferred, but we’re also open to someone with strong kitchen experience who is looking to develop further.
Pay: £13.50 per hour
