Overview
Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, the successful candidate will work as part of a small team responsible for ensuring the equipment is maintained to a high standard with an emphasis on the safe operating condition.
Equipment reliability is key and therefore one of the main responsibilities will be working to the planned preventative maintenance program. This will involve working with the site Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to generate / close out work orders and search for spares listed against assets. There will also be a need to ensure any reactive maintenance activities (breakdowns) are effectively dealt with in a timely manner. It is essential for the successful candidate to have a good skill level for fitting, welding and fabrication activities.
The plant operates on a 24-hour basis and therefore the successful candidate may be required to provide out-of-hours mechanical breakdown cover as required by the business.
You must be able to demonstrate experience and a good track record for safety, health and environmental awareness. You will be required to challenge others to work safely and develop a thorough knowledge of site-specific Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
