Summary
We are seeking a to join our team at CJ CLOTHIER TRANSPORT. This role is based in Wiltshire and plays a vital part in ensuring timely deliveries during day hours supporting our commitment to efficient service to delivery from our base in Frome area, using a Franchise vehicle No nights away.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently .
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle compliance with safety regulations.
- Navigate routes effectively, adhering to delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients.
- Perform basic mechanical checks and report any issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
- Qualifications
- Valid commercial driving license for the UK.
- Proven experience in commercial driving.
- Good mechanical knowledge to indent
- Ability to work night shifts reliably.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of UK road regulations.
- Prior experience with heavy vehicles or excavators is a plus but not required.
