About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated HGV Truck & Trailer Technician to join our busy workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, diagnosis and repair of HGV vehicles and trailers, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently and to DVSA standards.

About the Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate be a reliable, safety-conscious professional who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship. They will have excellent attention to detail, strong diagnostic capabilities and a commitment to keeping vehicles safe, compliant and operational. There is a need for them to be flexible as out of hours working will be required.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGV trucks and trailers.

Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.

Complete vehicle inspections, MOT preparations and preventative maintenance checks.

Conduct brake testing and suspension repairs.

Repair and maintain trailer systems including ABS/EBS.

Accurately complete job cards, inspection sheets and maintenance records.

Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations and DVSA standards.

Respond to vehicle breakdowns when required.

Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Essential Requirements

The right to live and work in the UK.
-
Proven experience as an HGV Technician, Trailer Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.

Relevant qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

Good understanding of HGV and trailer braking systems.

Full UK Driving Licence. Class 1 would be desirable.

Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Ability to work flexibility to deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
