Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, organised and compassionate Administrative Assistant to join our domiciliary care team.
The ideal candidate will have previous healthcare or care-sector experience and understand the importance of providing a professional, confidential and responsive service to clients, families and care staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to the care team
- Managing client records, care documentation and filing
- Assisting with staff rotas, schedules and appointments
- Communicating professionally with clients, families, carers and healthcare professionals
- Responding to telephone calls and emails
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding of care staff
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records
- Assisting with compliance, audits and general office duties
- Supporting the Registered Manager and wider management team
Essential Requirements
- Previous healthcare, social care or domiciliary care experience
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, both written and verbal—to effectively liaise with clients, team members, and external agencies.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to domiciliary care settings is advantageous.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A caring, professional and positive attitude
- Previous administrative experience within healthcare or social care settings is preferred.
- Exceptional time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
