We are looking for a reliable, friendly and enthusiastic Supervisor / Shop Assistant to join our team on a zero-hours contract.
This is a flexible role that would suit someone who enjoys working as part of a team, has excellent customer service skills and is confident taking responsibility when required. The successful candidate will support the General Manager, Assistant Manager, and will be part of the Supervisor Team, ensuring the shop runs smoothly and efficiently and that our customers receive outstanding service.
As well as being available for flexible shifts when required, you must be available to work every Sunday from 9.45am to 3.30pm.
A typical shift may involve:
- Supervising and supporting the team during the day.
- Helping to manage the daily rota/grid and staff changeovers.
- Till operation and assisting with cashing up.
- Serving customers and providing excellent customer service.
- Dealing confidently and professionally with customer queries and complaints.
- General restocking and maintaining high standards throughout the shop.
- Covering staff breaks and ensuring the shop is adequately staffed.
- Stockroom duties and general shop organisation.
- Supporting the opening and closing of the shop when required.
- Working closely with the General Manager, Assistant Manager and Supervisor Team.
Supervisory training will be provided, although previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role would be an advantage.
The role will require someone who is organised, dependable and able to work confidently both independently and as part of a busy team. A positive attitude and a genuine interest in providing excellent customer service are essential.
Hours
This is a zero-hours contract, offering flexibility according to the needs of the business.
Regular Sunday availability is essential: 9.45am–3.30pm.
Additional shifts may be available during the week and on Saturdays, depending on business requirements.
