Salary: c£30,000 - £35,000 DOE (pro-rata for part-time)

We are working with a group head office, to recruit for a Payroll and Credit Control Clerk to join their existing Accounts Department.
Reporting to the Directors, the role will involve, but not be limited to:
- Full responsibility for day-to-day credit control across multiple company accounts.
- Collating all required data to ensure payroll is run smoothly and without errors.
- Maintain accurate financial records.
- Support end-to-end payroll processing including time sheet validation.
- Liaise with employees and payroll partners to resolve payroll queries promptly and professionally.
- Maintain financial documentation in line with internal controls, HMRC and other compliance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with policies, credit control procedures, and relevant legislations.
Person Specification - Essential
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent organisation and time management; able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear, confident communicator; collaborative and client-focused.
- Self-starter mindset: reliable, proactive, adaptable.
- Knowledge of Sage Payroll and strong Excel skills.
Desirable
- Experience of working in a payroll environment
- AAT qualification or working towards a finance-related qualification.
- Exposure to group manufacturing / engineering environments.
