About Us
We are an independent, specialty neighborhood cafe located in Ordsall, Salford. We are opening in the next 2-3 months. We pride ourselves on serving exceptional coffee, hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and, and fresh pastries to our local community, remote workers, and commuters.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced, reliable Full-Time Senior Barista and Part Time Barista to help lead and assist our daily operations. You will be comfortable working solo during opening setup and thriving in a fast-paced two-person team during peak rushes.
Key Responsibilities
- Dialing in espresso grinders and preparing high-standard milk coffees with speed and precision.
- Opening the cafe (7:00 AM start), managing morning commuter rushes, and running daily prep routines.
- Part time - Supporting the lead barista during peak morning and lunch rushes.
- Handling food assembly (toasties, pastries, grab-and-go items) and managing till transactions.
- Taking Deliveries and organising the displays.
- Maintaining strict hygiene, food safety, and station cleanliness.
- Collaborating with ownership to maintain stock levels and quality control.
Working Pattern Full Time (Lead Barista | £13.00–£14.00/hr)
- FT Shift 1 (34hr p/w) - Fixed 4-day working week (Mon/Tue/Fri/Sat - 07:00–16:00)
- FT Shift 2 (31.5hr p/w) - Fixed 4-day working week (Wed/Thur/Sun - 07:00–16:00) AND (Friday 08:00–14:00).
- Includes 30-minute unpaid rest breaks on full-day shifts.
Working Pattern PART-TIME (Barista/Cafe Assistant | £12.71–£13.50/hr)
- PT Shift 1 (20.5hr p/w) - Mon & Tue (08:00–14:00) + Sun (07:00–16:00)
- PT Shift 2 (20.5hr p/w) - Wed & Thu (08:00–14:00) + Sat (07:00–16:00)
- Includes 30-minute unpaid rest breaks on full-day shifts.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a fast-paced specialty coffee environment or busy cafe working as Barista.
- Strong latte art skills and coffee dialing knowledge.
- Excellent customer service skills and a warm, positive attitude.
- Right to work in the UK.
