About the Role
Studio Luigi Torre Architecture and Project Solutions is looking for an experienced and motivated Management Accountant to join our finance team.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing management accounts, supporting budgeting and forecasting, analysing financial performance, and providing accurate financial information to support operational and commercial decision-making.
You will work closely with finance, project management, procurement, operations, and senior stakeholders to ensure financial reporting is timely, accurate, and aligned with business objectives.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, or project accounting who is analytical, organised, commercially aware, and comfortable working with multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.
- Produce profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow reporting.
- Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, and month-end adjustments.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Support monthly and year-end financial close processes.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
- Analyse actual performance against budget and forecast.
- Prepare variance analysis and explain key financial movements.
- Monitor project costs, revenues, margins, and financial performance.
- Work with project and operational teams to improve financial visibility.
- Support cost-control and profitability analysis across projects and business activities.
- Prepare financial reports and management information for internal stakeholders.
- Assist with cash-flow monitoring and working-capital analysis.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes where required.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with VAT reporting and other routine financial compliance requirements.
- Support external audits and provide requested financial documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, controls, and financial processes.
- Perform other accounting and finance responsibilities required by the role.
Qualifications and Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in management accounting, financial accounting, project accounting, or a related finance role.
- Previous experience as a Management Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant, Financial Accountant, Project Accountant, or similar position.
- Strong knowledge of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience using accounting or ERP systems such as Sage, Xero, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms is desirable.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional studies or qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT, or progress toward a recognised accounting qualification would be advantageous.
- Experience in architecture, construction, engineering, professional services, or project-based organisations.
- Experience with project accounting and cost-control processes.
- Knowledge of UK financial reporting and VAT requirements.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modelling.
- Experience preparing management reports and commercial analysis.
- Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles.
Equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered where formal qualifications are still in progress.

Pay: £5,800.00-£6,500.00 per month
