JMW’s Private Wealth team advises individuals and families on sensitive and often complex personal legal matters, including disputes involving wills, trusts and estates. We are looking for a Paralegal to support fee earners with contentious probate work and help deliver a high-quality service to clients.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in private wealth disputes develop litigation experience and learn from experienced lawyers in a collaborative environment.

Provide an effective, timely and efficient service to clients, maintaining high standards of client care
- Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, counsel and third parties
- Support new client enquiries by gathering information, liaising with senior team members and assisting with initial assessments
- Assist with file opening, onboarding new clients, file administration and time recording
- Assist with the preparation of correspondence, case documents, exhibits, enclosures, indexes and hearing or mediation bundles under supervision
- Assist with disclosure, including organising and reviewing documents and preparing chronologies where required
- Attend client meetings, mediations, court hearings and training seminars where required.

Strong academics, ideally including a law degree, GDL or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of legal principles and ideally awareness of court procedures relating to general litigation and/or contentious probate
- Previous experience in a paralegal role, particularly within litigation or contentious probate, would be advantageous
- An interest in contentious probate and private wealth disputes
- Strong organisation skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise work under pressure
- Positive, proactive and team-focused approach
- Exceptional legal analysis, research and written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
