Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the reception area. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist with appointment scheduling and cancellations
- Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, managing patient enquiries
- Manage patient records and update information accurately within the practice management system
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing payments
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure timely patient flow and appointment adherence
- Maintain a clean and organised reception area, adhering to health and safety standards
Requirements
- Previous office or administrative experience is essential, dental knowledge would be preferred but not essential as training will be provided for the right candidate
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Friendly, professional demeanour with a customer-focused approach
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using office software programmes such as Microsoft Office or similar applications
- Knowledge of dental practice management software is advantageous but not mandatory
