Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Night Porter to provide exceptional guest services and ensure the smooth operation of our hotel during overnight hours. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to handle various responsibilities with discretion and efficiency. Multilingual abilities and hospitality experience are highly desirable to enhance guest interactions and overall service quality. Duties
- Welcome and assist guests arriving during night hours, providing a warm and professional first impression
- Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately
- Respond promptly to guest enquiries, requests, and concerns with courtesy and professionalism
- Monitor security systems and conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security
- Handle administrative tasks such as maintaining logs, processing reservations, and updating guest records
- Assist with organising late-night amenities or services as required by guests
- Liaise with other hotel departments to coordinate services and resolve any issues that arise overnight
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of communal areas such as the lobby, reception desk, and corridors
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or hotel guest services is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Multilingual skills or bilingual abilities are highly advantageous for effective communication with diverse guests
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in handling administrative duties
- Friendly, approachable manner with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining vigilance for safety and security
- Flexibility to work overnight hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
- Discretion, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences
Pay: £13.00 per hour
