We are currently recruiting an experienced and professional SIA Licensed Door Supervisor for an upcoming shift at a busy hospitality venue in Solihull. Further shifts may be available across our new and existing contracts.
Role Overview
As a Door Supervisor, you will help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for customers, venue staff and visitors
The successful candidate must be confident communicating with members of the public, managing challenging situations professionally and working closely with venue management.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor customers entering and leaving the venue.
- Conduct appropriate entry and identification checks when required.
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence.
- Monitor customer behaviour and identify potential safety or security concerns.
- Assist venue staff with managing intoxicated, disorderly or disruptive individuals.
- De-escalate conflict using calm and professional communication.
- Refuse entry or ask individuals to leave when necessary and lawful.
- Monitor designated areas of the venue and conduct regular internal and external checks.
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies and requests for assistance.
- Support safe crowd movement and help prevent overcrowding.
- Record incidents accurately and report them to venue management and Defence Security Ltd.
- Contact the emergency services when required.
- Deliver a professional and welcoming standard of customer service.
Essential Requirements
- A valid and active SIA Door Supervisor licence.
- Previous door supervision, hospitality or event-security experience.
- Strong communication and conflict-management skills.
- A professional, calm and approachable manner.
- Ability to remain alert and composed in busy or challenging situations.
- Good understanding of safeguarding, incident reporting and emergency procedures.
- Reliable, punctual and able to remain on duty for the full shift.
- Smart black security uniform and suitable black footwear.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience working in pubs, bars, restaurants or event venues.
- Experience managing refusals, intoxicated customers and conflict situations.

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
