The Room Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and ambience of guest rooms and public areas within our hotel. This position is essential to ensuring our guests enjoy a welcoming, spotless, and comfortable environment during their stay. As part of our team, you will contribute to the overall success of Polurrian Hotel by upholding the standards of luxury and hospitality.
- Clean and tidy guest rooms according to company standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies.
- Ensure bathrooms are hygienic and fully stocked with toiletries and towels.
- Inspect rooms after cleaning to ensure quality and attention to detail.
- Report any maintenance issues or damage to the management promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as corridors and lounges as required.
- Follow health and safety procedures to guarantee a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Respond courteously and promptly to guest requests and enquiries.
- Work collaboratively with other housekeeping and hotel team members to deliver outstanding service.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or room attendant roles within the catering & hospitality industry is desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and reliable, with a positive attitude towards shift work including weekends and bank holidays.
- Physical stamina to undertake cleaning duties and move equipment or supplies as required.
- Competitive hourly wage between £8.00 and £12.71 depending on experience.
