We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to oversee our retirement home in collaboration with the Registered Manager. The Beeches Retirement Home is a lovely well established home in Eastbourne. As the the Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and ensuring the highest level of care for our residents whilst working clinically on the floor. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors in our community. The successful candidate will work as a deputy manager for 16 hours of the week (2 days) and the remaining contracted hours would be as a senior carer (24 hours)
Responsibilities:
- Support the Registered Manager to ensure day-to-day operations are running efficiently to provide a high level of care to our residents
- Supervise and provide guidance to a team of care staff
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards
- Develop and implement care plans for residents
- Oversee medication administration and ensure proper documentation
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for residents and staff
- Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and community resources
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in senior care or a similar role with valid healthcare qualifications and medication administration
- The ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the healthcare industry
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and problem-solve effectively
- Experience in managing budgets and resources
