DHÖM is an independent premium brunch and bistro on Darkes Lane in Potters Bar. We are looking for three warm, reliable people to join our waiting and front-of-house team.
Previous restaurant or café experience is helpful but not essential. We are more interested in reliability, communication, willingness to learn and readiness to complete every part of the role properly.
Current base hourly rates are:
- £12.71 for workers aged 21 and over.
- £10.85 for workers aged 18-20.
- £8.00 for workers aged 16-17.
These are the statutory rates effective from 1 April 2026 and will be updated when the legal minimum rates change.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide warm, attentive table service.
- Learn the menu and explain food and drink options accurately.
- Take accurate orders and enter them correctly into the EPOS system.
- Serve food and drinks safely and professionally.
- Follow DHÖM’s allergen process and never guess when a guest asks an allergy question.
- Check on tables and respond promptly to guest requests.
- Clear, clean and reset tables.
- Complete assigned opening, restocking, cleaning and closing duties.
- Work closely with the kitchen, bar and coffee team during busy periods.
- Learn and follow DHÖM’s booking, alcohol-service and guest-service procedures.
What we are looking for
- Friendly and professional communication.
- Reliability, punctuality and willingness to complete the full role.
- Ability to listen, learn from feedback and follow procedures.
- Confidence working in a busy breakfast, brunch or evening service.
- Flexible availability, including weekends.
- Previous hospitality or customer-service experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to travel reliably to Potters Bar for scheduled shifts.
