Scotbet is Scotland’s leading independent bookmaker, with 18 shops across the country.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Betting Shop Cashier / Customer Service Assistant to join our team at our shop in Newtongrange, Edinburgh. This role will involve supporting the Shop Manager with the day-to-day running of the shop and helping to maintain our high standards of customer service, compliance, and shop presentation.
The role will include:
- Taking and processing bets
- Helping customers with enquiries
- Supporting the Manager with the opening and closing of the shop when required
- Ensuring Safer Gambling and Compliance procedures are followed
- Adhering to cash handling and security procedures
- Maintaining a clean, welcoming, and professional shop environment
- Providing excellent customer service at all times
The shop is open 7 days a week:
Monday to Friday: 10am to 9pm
Saturday: 9am to 9pm
Sunday: 10am to 6pm
The position is for 3 days per week, 8 hours per day, and Saturday working is essential.
An interest in sports or knowledge of betting is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Due to licensing laws, applicants must be 18 or over to work in our shops.
