The on target earning potential for this role is £13.21 / per hour - comprising a base hourly rate of £12.71, plus a qualified estimate of £1 per hour in service charge.*
ABOUT THE JOB
As Receptionist, you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their stay from the moment they either give us a call, or walk through the door. You’ll balance warmth with professionalism, handle every detail with care, and make sure each guest experience feels effortless.
This role is part time made up of 2 x 10hr shifts per week, will include some weekends. Start date for this role will be from 01/09/2026, there will be the possibility of increasing hours from December to cover maternity leave. This is a shift role position and hours will be 8am-6pm or 11am-9pm
You’ll also work closely with every department to keep things running smoothly — whether that’s managing reservations, answering queries, or ensuring guests leave with a reason to return.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INVOLVE:
- Welcome every guest with warmth, confidence, and genuine hospitality.
- Deliver consistently high standards of service that exceed expectations.
- Build rapport with guests, remembering names and preferences to create a personal experience.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and managers to ensure smooth operations across departments.
- Handle reservations, enquiries, and guest requests efficiently, both in person and over the phone.
- Maintain accuracy in guest billing, cash handling, and financial procedures.
- Promote the hotel’s facilities and local attractions, offering recommendations that enhance each stay.
- Stay calm and composed under pressure, always presenting a professional and approachable manner.
- Uphold health, safety, and security standards for both guests and team members.
- Be proactive in spotting opportunities to upsell rooms, experiences, or return visits.
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues, fostering a positive, collaborative team culture where everyone feels supported and motivated to deliver great service.
- Stay alert to any maintenance, repair, or guest-related issues and report them promptly to management to ensure the best possible guest experience.
