The Role
We're looking for a reliable, skilled Saturday Seamstress to run the shop independently on our busiest day of the week. You'll be the face of the business on Saturdays — welcoming customers, fitting garments, taking payments, and carrying out alterations to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Open and run the shop independently on Saturdays
- Welcome customers and manage the front desk, including taking payments on the till
- Pin and fit garments accurately for alteration, advising customers on fit and turnaround
- Record details of work tasks on the till system and tag garments to ensure 100% traceability.
- Carry out simple clothing alterations (e.g. zip replacements, shortenings, simple repairs)
- Book in and hand back completed alterations, keeping accurate customer records
- Keep the shop tidy, presentable, and secure while working alone
What We're Looking For
- Confident, hands-on experience with garment fitting/pinning and simple alterations
- Comfortable working independently and working a shop unsupervised
- Friendly, customer-focused manner with good communication skills
- Basic till/cash handling experience
- Reliable and punctual
Hours & Pay
- Every Saturday (core role)
- Opportunities for additional overtime hours during the week
- Occasional Sunday shifts available
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
