Job Overview
Location: Norwich
Company: abbotFox
Job Type: Part time 20 hrs
abbotFox is a well established and growing independent estate agency based in Norwich, specialising in residential sales and lettings across Norfolk. We are looking for a Social Community Engagement Coordinator.
abbotFox is looking for a confident, creative and community-minded Social Community Engagement Coordinator to help bring our brand, our people and our local personality to life online.
This is not a corporate social media role. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys engaging with people, spotting good local content, capturing natural moments and helping us show the culture behind abbotFox.
You will be helping us stay active and visible across our social media platforms by liking, sharing, commenting, creating posts and encouraging conversations with our local audience. From celebrating Norwich events and Norfolk life to capturing day-to-day moments in the office, this role is all about connection, personality and community.
The Role
You will be responsible for supporting abbotFox’s social media presence across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.
Your work will include:
- Liking, sharing and commenting on relevant local, community and property-related posts
- Engaging with local Norwich and Norfolk businesses, events, organisations and community pages
- Capturing natural photos and videos of the abbotFox team during the working day using an iPhone provided by abbotFox
- Creating behind-the-scenes content that showcases the culture, personality and people behind the brand
- Encouraging staff to get involved in social content, local conversations and community-led posts
- Creating engaging captions that sound warm, natural and on-brand
- Using Canva for post creation when required.
- Turning local Norwich and Norfolk news, events and talking points into relevant social media content
- Creating simple short-form video content for Reels, Stories and TikTok
- Helping to make abbotFox more visible, approachable and connected online
- Supporting the wider team with creative content ideas
This role would suit someone who enjoys being around people, knows how to start conversations online and has a good feel for engaging social media.
We’re Looking For Someone Who...
- Understands social media and enjoys using it in a natural, confident way
- Is comfortable liking, commenting, sharing and chatting online on behalf of a business
- Has a good eye for simple photos and videos
- Can create attractive, professional-looking posts in Canva
- Can write captions that feel friendly, local and engaging
- Understands Norwich and Norfolk, or is keen to stay up to date with what is happening locally
- Is confident encouraging staff to take part in content
- Is organised, proactive and full of ideas
- Can spot opportunities for community engagement
- Has a positive, friendly and professional manner
- Understands the importance of brand tone and reputation when posting online
- Is a self starter
You do not need to be a professional photographer or videographer. We are looking for someone with a good eye, a natural feel for social media and the confidence to create content that feels real, warm and engaging.
