Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Performing Arts Teacher to inspire creativity and foster artistic development among students of various ages. Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive performing arts lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
- Incorporate elements of creative writing, physical education, and early childhood education into lesson plans to enhance student engagement.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a positive and disciplined atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Assess student progress regularly through observations, performances, and feedback sessions; provide constructive guidance to support growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects that integrate arts with other subjects such as math or literacy.
- Organize student performances, showcases, or exhibitions to celebrate achievements and boost confidence.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and lesson plans while ensuring all activities align with educational standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children across various age groups, including preschool and early childhood settings.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability in teaching performing arts disciplines such as dance, drama, music or related fields.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster respectful and productive classroom environments.
- Experience in tutoring or providing additional support in subjects like creative writing or physical education is highly desirable.
- Background in special education or experience adapting lessons for diverse learning needs is a plus.
- Childcare experience combined with a passion for nurturing young learners’ artistic talents is essential.
