Business Officer – Brokerage Team
The Business Officer role is positioned within the Brokerage Team, which forms part of the Urgent and Emergency Care and New Models of Care portfolio. The primary purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive business support to these teams, ensuring the efficient coordination of processes, effective administrative delivery, and the smooth operation of key functions within the service.
About the role
The main functions of the role are as follows:
- Provide comprehensive support to Project Managers to ensure the smooth, efficient, and effective operation of the Brokerage, Urgent and Emergency Care, and New Models of Care teams.
- Contribute to maintaining business continuity by supporting the delivery of departmental objectives, outcomes, and key deadlines.
- Produce high-quality reports, correspondence, presentations, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office applications to a professional standard.
- Support the central coordination, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of departmental performance monitoring systems and internal governance processes.

About you
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience of working within the Health and Care sector, with exposure to health services considered advantageous.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing demands of the service.
- Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working partnerships.
- Highly proficient in IT systems, including Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to produce accurate and professional outputs.
