Experienced Swim Teacher – Sunday Afternoons

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and fun Swim Teacher to join our friendly team. You’ll be teaching in our warm 31°C private pool, delivering high-quality lessons to children across a range of abilities.
As we have our own pools, we operate all year round, providing consistent work rather than term-time-only hours. Additional cover hours are also available for the right candidate.
About the Role
You’ll be teaching a mixture of:
● 1:1, 3:1 and 4:1 lessons
● Swimmers from Stage 2 and basic stroke development through to more advanced stroke technique
● A variety of ages and abilities
Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) would be a distinct advantage.
Responsibilities
● Deliver engaging, safe and enjoyable swimming lessons.
● Plan lessons that support each swimmer’s development.
● Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to swimmers and parents.
● Maintain a safe, clean and organised pool environment.
● Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
Essential Requirements
● Minimum 1 year’s swim teaching experience.
● Strong knowledge of swimming strokes and teaching techniques.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to reliably commute to Shipley, BD17 7DH.
● Willingness to undergo a DBS/background check.
Desirable
● Experience teaching children with SEN.
● Current CPR and First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
