Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated General Labourer - Cast Stone Operative to join our manufacturing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop skills within the construction and fabrication industry, working on the production of high-quality cast stone products. The successful candidate will be involved in various aspects of the manufacturing process, supporting the creation of durable and aesthetically pleasing architectural elements. Prior experience in fabrication or warehouse operations is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. This position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to learn and grow within a skilled trades environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of cast stone components using hand tools and power tools/
- Operate hand held machinery.
- Be prepared to perform manual heavy lifting.
- Support the organisation of materials within the warehouse setting.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently during all operations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of concrete production, with a willingness to learn fabrication techniques
- Experience with hand tools, power tools is desirable but not essential
- Good basic maths skills for measurements and calculations -
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is beneficial but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical capability to handle materials and operate machinery safely
