Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Experienced Carpenter to join our team as a Featheredge Gate Manufacturer. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality featheredge gates, utilizing your expertise in carpentry and joinery to produce durable, precise, and aesthetically appealing products. Your hands-on skills in fabrication, assembly, and the use of various hand and power tools will be essential to ensure each gate meets our strict standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber components for featheredge gates with precision and attention to detail
- Operate hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers to complete fabrication tasks efficiently
- Use power tools including drills, sanders, and nail guns to enhance productivity and quality of work
- Apply joinery techniques to ensure strong, long-lasting connections between components
- Perform heavy lifting when handling large or bulky materials safely and effectively
- Conduct construction painting and finishing work to achieve a polished appearance on completed gates
- Assist with roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work or other related tasks as needed during project execution
Experience
- Proven experience as a carpenter with a focus on fabrication and assembly within construction or manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of carpentry principles, joinery techniques, and the safe operation of hand and power tools
- Familiarity with roofing, masonry, plumbing or electrical systems is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship
- Prior experience working on custom gate or fencing projects is highly desirable
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques and finishing processes preferred
