Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Musical Theatre Teacher to inspire and nurture the next generation of students at our performing acts school in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire. We are searching for someone who is available from 3.30pm to 7.30pm/8.00pm on Monday evenings during term time, either primarily as a singing teacher or triple threat teacher, we are open to both options.
Diverse Performing Arts has been running 15 years, and we work towards numerous shows per year. We‘re a close knit team who work well together, and this enjoyment shows in our lessons. Our students enjoy being challenged and we’re looking for a teacher to work alongside us who likes to do this.
Duties
- Lead solo and group lessons in musical theatre
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, teamwork, and self-expression
- Work towards performances, showcases, and productions to give students real-world stage experience
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure student success and well-being
Qualifications
- Proven experience teaching musical theatre or related performing arts disciplines
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues
- Knowledge of child development principles and experience working with children of various ages
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour positively while maintaining high energy levels
- DBS check on the Update Service preferred
