Software / Control Systems Engineer — Tesla Engineering Ltd, Storrington, West Sussex
Dedicated to the design and manufacture of resistive and superconducting electromagnets for science, medicine and industry, Tesla Engineering has been designing and building magnet systems since 1973. Our team includes some of the most experienced magnet designers and builders in the world and we are now looking to recruit a Software / Control Systems Engineer to join them in Storrington, West Sussex.
With a relevant background, preferably, but not necessarily, to Masters or PhD level, you will be involved in a broad range of tasks including:
- Designing, programming, and maintaining PLC-based control systems using Siemens TIA Portal
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues in production and testing environments
- Enhancing and modifying LabVIEW programs (prior experience is a plus but not essential)

You're a meticulous problem-solver with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for finding solutions under tight constraints. You’ll thrive in a hands-on, high-tech environment where precision and creativity go hand in hand.
Practical experience of magnet systems, cryogenics, mechanics, electronics, test apparatus, production methods and collaborative working environments are advantageous.
