Royal St David’s Golf Club is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Greenkeeper to join our dedicated course team. The Role
As an Assistant Greenkeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining and presenting the golf course to the highest standards. Working alongside an experienced team, you will gain exposure to all aspects of modern turf management while contributing to ongoing course improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily maintenance of the golf course, including mowing greens, tees, fairways and rough.
- Maintain bunkers through raking, edging and renovation works.
- Assist with aeration, topdressing, overseeding and turf renovation programmes.
- Operate a range of turf machinery safely and effectively.
- Support construction and course improvement projects.
- Assist with course set-up and presentation duties.
- Maintain the highest standards of health and safety at all times.
- Contribute to the overall quality and presentation of the golf course.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous greenkeeping or sports turf experience.
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
- A willingness to learn and develop professionally within the industry.
- PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates (advantageous but not essential).
- A full, valid driving licence.
