About the role
North Bay Dairy is a growing local milk and produce delivery business serving residential and business customers across Scarborough.
We are looking for a reliable early-morning delivery driver to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a small amount of regular work, a second income, or a role that leaves the rest of the day completely free.
You'll be responsible for delivering milk and other fresh produce to customers' doorsteps, following set local routes and ensuring every delivery is completed accurately and on time.
Hours
- 2.5 to 16 hours per week
- Individual shifts are approximately 2.5–3.5 hours
- Shifts are between 4:00am and 7:30am
- Monday to Friday
- No weekend work
- Flexibility over which days you work
The early start is an important part of the role, so this position will suit someone who genuinely enjoys early mornings and is comfortable being up and about while most people are still asleep.
What you'll be doing
- Loading the delivery vehicle with the correct products
- Following a set delivery route around Scarborough
- Delivering milk, eggs, bread and other produce directly to customers' doorsteps
- Collecting cash and cheques from customers where required
- Providing friendly and professional customer service
- Correcting any delivery mistakes as soon as they are identified
- Completing a simple stock check at the end of your round
- Keeping the delivery vehicle clean and organised
Full training will be provided, so previous milk delivery experience is not required.
About you
We're looking for someone who is:
- Extremely reliable and punctual – our routes need to leave on time and cannot easily be covered at short notice
- Comfortable working independently
- Honest and trustworthy, particularly when handling cash
- Someone who enjoys routine and completing tasks efficiently
- Physically fit enough to lift crates and spend periods walking
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Proud of providing a good service to customers
- Able to spot mistakes and take responsibility for putting them right
Requirements
Essential:
- Full UK driving licence (Maxiumum 3 points)
- Aged 21 or over
- Reliable transport to and from our Scarborough depot (Barry's Lane)
- Able to undertake physical work, including lifting crates of approximately 20 pints
- Comfortable with early morning working
Desirable:
- Previous delivery driving experience
- Van driving experience
- Experience working independently or following set routes

Important information
This is a self-employed position, paid monthly at £14 per hour.
