Job Title: Cut & Bend Operator – Rebar Reinforcement (Evening Shift)

Salary: £12.71-£16.00ph depending on experience
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 1.00pm - 10:30pm (2 x 30-minute breaks)
Important information
Our site is located at Baltic Wharf, Rochford (SS4 2HA) and public transport to the site is extremely limited, particularly for employees finishing at 10:30pm. Applicants should have their own reliable transport or be able to travel to and from the site independently.

We are looking for reliable and experienced Cut & Bend Operators to join our growing team at our Baltic Wharf facility in Rochford.
The role
Working within our reinforcement manufacturing operation, you will be responsible for operating and setting cut and bend machinery to produce reinforcement steel accurately and efficiently, ensuring all products meet customer requirements and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operating and setting cut and bend machinery within a busy production environment.
- Producing reinforcement steel to customer schedules and specifications.
- Reading and interpreting bar bending schedules and production drawings.
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Loading and handling steel materials safely.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working area.
- Working as part of a team to achieve daily production targets.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience operating MEP or Schnell cut and bend machinery is highly desirable.
- Experience setting and adjusting automated reinforcement machinery.
- Knowledge of reinforcement steel processing and bar bending schedules.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- A strong work ethic with reliable attendance.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
