As we prepare for the exciting summer season, we’re looking for a skilled Chef to join our kitchen team and help us deliver delicious, fresh, and creative dishes that match the energy of our venue.
About the Role: As a Chef at the Blue Lagoon, you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for our popular breakfast service and street-food-inspired small plates in the evening. You'll work alongside a small, close-knit kitchen team in a fast-paced environment, creating food that’s fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavor. We’re known for our creative burger menu and emphasis on shareable dishes, so there’s plenty of room to showcase your skills and culinary flair.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a kitchen role (Chef, Commis Chef, or similar) within a fast-paced, high-energy setting.
- A passion for fresh, high-quality ingredients and a love for creating tasty dishes.
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen operations.
- A positive attitude, with a strong work ethic and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- A team player who’s eager to collaborate and bring new ideas to the table.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of breakfast dishes, small plates, and burgers.
- Ensure that all dishes are cooked to perfection, presented beautifully, and served promptly.
- Work efficiently and safely, adhering to hygiene and food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support the Head Chef and kitchen team in daily operations and contribute ideas for menu items.
- Help with stock control, ordering, and maintaining a well-stocked kitchen.
