Job Summary
We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team within a concession during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in an indoor, established Cafe Bar.
Duties would involve: using an automatic pass-thourgh dish washing machine that deals with pots and containers, etc., assisting in food preparation and supporting the cooks,
The ideal candidates will have a Level 2, (or higher) food safety certificate,(altough not essential), and experience in working in a fast-paced environment. This position requires proven experience. We require applicants to live locally within the Edinburgh area, (unless you haveyour own transport).
Responsibilities
KITCHEN ASSISTANT
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
- Support the cooking process by following recipes and kitchen standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with serving meals to customers or staff as required
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to maintain a hygienic environment
This role is for a one-off event for approximately 5 weeks only, during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival - IT IS NOT A FULL TIME JOB
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
