The Role
As a Team Leader/Fryer, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the shop. You'll be responsible for maintaining food quality, supporting the management team, and ensuring excellent service during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook fish, chips and other menu items to a consistently high standard.
Manage the frying range efficiently during busy service periods.
Lead and support the team throughout each shift.
Ensure food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
Monitor food quality and portion control.
Help train and develop new team members.
Open and close the shop when required.
Assist with stock rotation and waste control.
Maintain a clean, organised and efficient work environment.
Deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues professionally.
What We're Looking For (Essential)
Previous experience working in a fish & chip shop or fast-paced kitchen.
Experience operating a frying range.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
High standards of cleanliness and food quality.
Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
Flexible to work evenings and weekends.
