About the role
Every day, children and young people across Herefordshire and Worcestershire face challenges including trauma, emotional distress, family breakdown, exploitation, mental health difficulties and safeguarding concerns.
As a Children & Young People Intensive Support Practitioner at ONSIDE, you’ll be there when they need support most.
Working alongside some of the area’s most vulnerable young people, you’ll build trusted relationships, reduce risks, support recovery and help children move towards safer, more positive futures.
You will support children & young people experiencing complex and high-risk situations, such as but not limited to; placement breakdown, exclusion, offending, self-harm, exploitation or crisis escalation. You will build trusted relationships that help young people feel safe, heard and understood, deliver trauma-informed interventions tailored to individual needs.
You will also identify and respond to safeguarding concerns and undertake risk assessments, work collaboratively with families, schools and partner agencies and help reduce crisis, improve stability and support positive outcomes for children and young people.
No two days are the same, but every day offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference in a young person’s life.
If you’re passionate about safeguarding, trauma-informed practice and creating lasting change, we’d love to hear from you.
