Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. Previous experience in care environments is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication reminders
- Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using app system
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the wider care team to ensure coordinated support
- Drive or accompany residents to appointments or outings as required
- Uphold health and safety standards at all times, ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff
- Contribute to creating a warm, respectful, and caring atmosphere within the care setting
Requirements
- Valid driving licence is desirable for assisting with transportation needs
- Experience working in a care home or home care environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to understand and follow care plans accurately
- Good IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and colleagues
- Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to providing person-centred care
- Reliable, organised, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Pay: From £14.00 per hour
Work Location: On the road
