We are seeking a passionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our dedicated Activity Coordinator. In this vital role, you will deliver engaging, meaningful activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact through personalized engagement and compassionate care. This role is 09.00 to 17.00 Friday and Saturdays.
Duties
- Deliver a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities, including arts and crafts, music sessions, games, and social events
- Encourage participation in activities that promote mental stimulation, physical movement, and social interaction
- Maintain a safe environment during activities by adhering to safety protocols and supervising residents closely
- Document resident participation and feedback to continually improve activity programs
- Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes community spirit among residents and staff
- Assist with special events or outings that enrich residents’ experiences beyond the facility
Requirements
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and team members
- Demonstrated ability to execute engaging activities that cater to diverse needs and interests
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to enhance the well-being of seniors through meaningful engagement
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt activities based on residents’ changing needs and health conditions
