Location: Gordale Garden Centre, Burton, Wirral
Hours: 24.5 hours per week
Working Days: Monday, Wednesday and Sunday (fixed days)
Contract: Permanent, Part Time
Pay:
- £10.85 per hour (ages 18–20)
- £12.71 per hour (ages 21+)
*Rising in line with service

The Role
We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Coffee Shop Assistant to join our busy team.
Working alongside our experienced colleagues, you'll help create a welcoming environment for our customers by serving delicious food and drinks, maintaining excellent hygiene standards and delivering outstanding customer service. No two days are the same, so we're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing a great customer experience.
What You'll Be Doing
Customer Service
- Providing a warm, friendly welcome to every customer.
- Taking food and drink orders accurately.
- Serving food and beverages efficiently and professionally.
- Handling customer enquiries with confidence and courtesy.
- Promoting our loyalty card and enhancing the overall customer experience.
Food Preparation
- Preparing food and beverages in line with recipes and company standards.
- Replenishing displays throughout the day.
- Following allergen procedures and food safety requirements at all times.
- Helping to minimise waste through careful stock management.
Maintaining High Standards
- Keeping the kitchen, serving areas and customer seating areas clean and well presented.
- Completing food temperature checks and cleaning schedules.
- Following all food hygiene, health & safety and COSHH procedures.
- Wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment where required.
General Duties
- Operating tills accurately.
- Assisting with deliveries and stock replenishment.
- Ensuring crockery, cutlery and customer areas remain clean and fully stocked.
- Working as part of the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the coffee shop.

- Previous hospitality or café experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.
