We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Depot Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy depot. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for operational excellence to drive performance, efficiency, and team engagement, and shape a new, high performing team.
You will be responsible for overseeing depot activities, ensuring smooth logistics, maintaining high service standards, and managing a team to deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily running of the depot, ensuring efficient and effective operations
- Lead, motivate, and develop depot staff to achieve performance targets
- Oversee stock control, inventory accuracy, and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies
- Coordinate logistics, deliveries, and distribution activities
- Monitor KPIs and implement improvements to enhance productivity
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Manage costs and operational reporting
About You
- Proven experience in a depot, warehouse, or logistics management role
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Good understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements (ISO)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- IT literate, with experience using operational systems
