We're looking for an energetic, driven and hands-on Duty Manager to help lead our team and deliver exceptional guest experiences every day.
This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and enjoys leading from the front. This position is responsible for closing the venue, ensuring the business is left secure, compliant and ready for the following day's operation. You'll need to be confident making decisions independently, maintaining high standards throughout service and taking full ownership of the venue at the end of the night.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead shifts and oversee the day-to-day operation of the venue.
- Take full responsibility for closing the venue on every shift, ensuring all closing procedures are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Complete end-of-night cashing up and reconcile tills in line with company procedures.
- Secure the premises, ensuring all licensing, health & safety and security procedures have been followed before leaving site.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure every guest receives a memorable experience.
- Support, motivate and coach the team to achieve high performance standards throughout the shift.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, company policies and health & safety regulations.
- Manage guest enquiries and resolve complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Coordinate effectively with bar, floor, kitchen, security and management teams.
- Support recruitment, inductions, training and development of team members.
- Assist with labour control and shift planning where required.
- Monitor venue standards, cleanliness and presentation throughout service.
- Complete daily paperwork, incident reports and operational checks accurately.
- Support stock control, cash handling and venue security procedures.
- Make confident operational decisions and remain calm under pressure.
What We're Looking For
- Previous supervisory or management experience within hospitality.
- Experience managing late-night or high-volume venues is desirable.
- Confidence in working independently and taking ownership of the venue.
- Strong understanding of end-of-night procedures, cash handling and venue security.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Strong understanding of licensing regulations and health & safety.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and late-night shifts, with focusing on the shift finishing as the closing manager.
