Job Overview
We are seeking a part time and a full time reliable and experienced 7.5t Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely delivering goods to various locations in the north, ensuring timely and professional service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 7.5-tonne van, including flatbed vehicles, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Follow planned delivery routes to meet schedules and optimise fuel consumption
- Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring items are secured during transit
- Deliver goods to clients’ premises in a professional and courteous manner
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure roadworthiness
- Communicate effectively with the logistics and warehouse team regarding delivery status and any issues encountered
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Category C1 (7.5t) driving licence
- A valid UK CPC card
- A valid UK Digital Tachograph card
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Ability to work independently
- Familiarity with local routes and traffic regulations within the area
