Field Service Engineer
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Field Service Engineer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with innovative odour control and air pollution systems that play a vital role in protecting the environment and supporting essential municipal infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance, including upgrades and refurbishments, on OCU odour control systems
- Providing technical and commercial after-sales support, ensuring customers get the most from their systems
- Troubleshooting and fault-finding on-site, keeping critical systems running efficiently
- Working closely with customers, offering practical recommendations to improve reliability and performance
- Feeding back site experience to support continuous product improvement
- Joining an on-call rota as you grow into the role, with flexibility to support customers during occasional weekends and public holidays
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Service Engineer, ideally within the municipal, water, or wastewater sectors
- Knowledge of sewage and drinking water treatment sites (experience with odour control or air pollution systems is an advantage)
- A practical, hands-on engineering mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently while being part of a supportive team
Qualifications
- NVQ or higher in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Engineers working towards a qualification are also encouraged to apply
Customer & Communication Skills
- Confident communicating with customers on-site
- Able to explain technical issues clearly and professionally
- Positive, solutions-focused approach — even in challenging situations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
