We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Management Accountant to join Vianet. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to thrive in a fast-paced, growing business. As Senior Management Accountant, you will lead the delivery of accurate, timely and insightful financial and management reporting, while managing and developing the management accounting team. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will provide commercial financial support, maintain robust financial controls, and deliver meaningful insights that enable informed decision-making. You will play a key role in supporting the achievement of Vianet's strategic objectives and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Lead, coach and develop the management accounting team, providing technical support and building capability across the finance function.
· Build strong working relationships with operational managers, commercial teams and external partners.
· Own the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet for designated business units, while developing a broad understanding of the wider Group.
· Produce accurate monthly management accounts, including commentary, variance analysis and consolidation of Vianet Limited management accounts.
· Lead the budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting process for assigned business areas.
· Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Purchase Ledger and Credit Control functions, ensuring invoices are processed accurately, suppliers are paid on time, aged debt is managed effectively and KPIs are achieved.
· Develop financial reporting to improve visibility, efficiency and decision-making.
· Maintain and continually improve financial controls, accounting processes and compliance with company policies and accounting standards, supporting both internal and external audits.
· Review and financially assess new contracts, pricing proposals and commercial opportunities, maintaining pricing models and margin analysis.
There are some essential experience skills you will need to have:
· Significant management accounting experience with previous leadership or people management responsibility.
· Working towards, or committed to achieving, a professional accounting qualification (CIMA preferred).
· Strong experience producing monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
· Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to influence operational decision-making.
· Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP/accounting systems (Sage 200 desirable).
· Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance colleagues.
· Experience of improving finance processes, strengthening financial controls and driving continuous improvement.
Pay: From £39,000.00 per year
