White Ribbon NI works across schools, communities, sports organisations, workplaces and the justice system to prevent violence against women and girls by engaging them in meaningful conversations about respect, equality, accountability and leadership.
We’re looking for a Community Partnerships and Engagement Officer who can assist us to expand our reach, strengthen partnerships, support fundraising and develop opportunities that allow our work to reach more people.
This is not an office-based administrative role.
It’s about relationships, initiative and the ability to turn ideas into action. You’ll be comfortable travelling across Northern Ireland to meet new people, building trust, identifying opportunities and helping White Ribbon NI continue to grow its impact.You may already be working in community development, partnership working, fundraising,stakeholder engagement or the voluntary sector. About the Role: Support the growth and development of White Ribbon NI by building relationships with community organisations, businesses, schools, sports organisations, statutory agencies and other stakeholders across Northern Ireland.You’ll help identify and develop new partnership opportunities, support fundraising and funding applications, coordinate volunteer engagement and play a key role in helping White Ribbon NI expand its impact and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities: Developing and maintaining positive relationships with repeat community organisations, local groups, businesses, statutory agencies and other stakeholders. Identifying opportunities and action new partnerships that support the growth and impact of White Ribbon NI’s work. Representing White Ribbon NI at meetings, networking events, community forums and engagement opportunities. Supporting the identification, development and submission of funding applications and grant proposals.
This is a one-year rolling contract
- Assisting with the collection of impact data, case studies and evidence required for funding and reporting purposes.
- Supporting fundraising campaigns, community events and awareness-raising activities.
- Recruiting, supporting and coordinating volunteers, helping to ensure they have a positive and meaningful experience with White Ribbon NI.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to identify opportunities for sustainable organisational growth and innovation. Promoting White Ribbon NI’s mission, values and programmes across all activity.
- Representing White Ribbon NI professionally at events, partnership meetings and engagement activities.
- Requirements - Essential
- Demonstrable experience developing and maintaining effective community partnerships.
- Demonstrable experience contributing to successful funding applications and other income generation.
- Strong multi level communication and sustainable relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team, with evidence of positive collaboration.
- Efficient organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Able to meet travel requirements across Northern Ireland using either private transport(full driving license and access to a vehicle) or public transport. Knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams)
- Desirable GCSE Maths and English (Grade A-C) or equivalent,
- Experience working within the community, voluntary or charity sector for 6 months or more.
- Delivering volunteer support or programmes
- Knowledge of violence prevention, community development or social change work.
- Planning and co-ordinating community events
